Having the only one of anything in this world is pretty cool when you think about it. And you have the only one of you. Treat yourself as the treasure you really are. If somebody is dogging on you, don't let them convince that you are not pretty damn special, because you are.
And when you start comparing yourself to others, as well do at one time or another, let me tell you a little secret I found out. We all know the whole truth about ourselves, good or bad. We know our weak points and our flaws. Bu if you are like me, you hide them pretty well. So does everybody else. What that means is that when you are comparing yourself to someone else, you are comparing your true self to the other person's social mask. You are going to lose that contest 100 out of 100 times. You may be standing there feeling like a crap because you know your parents fight like cats an dogs and that your family is having such financial trouble that you may have to sell your house. But you are comparing the truth to some other kid's "everything is fine at my house" social mask. The truth is, others may be going through way more hell than you ever thought about.
All I am saying to you here is to believe in yourself, be who you are, and don't put yourself down in comparison to other people. You have the potential for a great life ahead of you, but it is up to you to live it.
